Jan Digney, a Queensland grandmother was shocked to find that to solve the problem of showing your underwear when wearing low cut jeans or backless tops and dresses, women were wearing no underwear at all. 

After unsuccessfully searching shops for a brief that would eliminate the unsightly visual waist band, the riding up and discomfort of a wedgie, Jan decided that she would just have to design and develop her own product.

From trying many different prototypes, designs and extensive research a final product evolved. This finished product was given to over 200 ladies, of all age groups to test. The response was overwhelming to say the least.

The majority could not believe how comfortable they were and totally amazed they did not fall down. They loved the bottom lift, liked the way the gusset was designed, that allows women to wear personal protection with confidence.One lady made the comment “for less you get more, I’ve never known such a small brief that gives a woman everything she needs”.

It became obvious the unique design had never been thought of, so Jan investigated, and applied for patents to protect her innovative idea. From this Jan was keen to establish a brand name. The name “pert” came to mind as it suited the uplifting effect the straps had on the wearer’s bottom. Jan then applied for the Trademark name “PERT”

Jan had created a unique alternative to any other panty brief on the market, particularly the G String. The need for pulling, plucking or tucking, worrying about the unsightly rear waistband is eliminated with the unique strap design sitting under the cheeks of the bottom, giving the wearer complete comfort, protection and confidence.

Jan’s intention is to give a person the ultimate choice, in comfort, protection and confidence, when they try her new “Backless Briefs.”
